In 1996 Hubert Dragaschnig and Augustin Jagg founded the theater KOSMOS. Since then, four plays have been produced annually. KOSMOS primarily aims to stage contemporary plays, world premieres and German-language premieres. The other event series include the KOSMOS Discourse (readings and lectures followed by the opportunity for discussion), Young Authors, Jazz in the Foyer, KOSMOS Vernissage and Young Chamber Music. One of the founding ideas of Theater KOSMOS was to create an overall artistic project.
